Visit to Kapiti Island
We hope to visit Kapiti Island Nature Reserve on Monday, 3 May. The island is about 5km off the Kapiti district coast. We need really good weather or the trip will be postponed. Fingers crossed. (We had to wait until 19 May to get there - wind and waves were the problems).
Stream Study - March Camp
We are checking out the Wainui Stream, beside our camp to see if it is polluted or a good place for living things.
The Giant Worms on Mana Island - 2009
There is very good soil on Mana Island. As we dug holes for trees we discovered these worms.

Lizard Lounges - boxes in sunny spots with small entry/exit holes are a great spot to find geckos.
Mana Island Visit - May, 2009.
Mana Island is a Scientific Nature Reserve about 2.5 km from the mainland. Lance, the skipper, is taking us across. We all have life-jackets.
